\r\nAs a result of the annual budgeting process conducted by the C5 management and Board of Directors, C5 will implement the tuition increases listed below for the coming 2019-2020 school year beginning September 1, 2019.
\r\n
\r\nWe are anticipating another stellar year where children enrolled at C5 will receive the very best learning and development and C5 will be able to continue influencing improvements in educational programs that extend to more children around the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

\r\nWe thank you for being an enrolled and contributing member of the C5 Community and supporting optimal development for your child and others.
\r\n
\r\nWhy the tuition Increase?<\/strong>
\r\n
\r\nCosts of operating in San Francisco continue to rise. Accordingly, we must provide higher levels of pay and benefits to attract and retain C5 caliber teachers. As some of you know, there continues to be a severe shortage of Early Care and Education Teachers in San Francisco and in the Bay Area.
\r\n
\r\nThe increase for Infants and Young Toddlers who are 6 weeks old to 18 months old will be 5%. The increase for Toddlers who are 18 to 36 months old will be 4%. And, the increase for both the Preschoolers who are 36 months & up and the Pre-K children who are about 4-5 years old will be 4%. For the past 20 years C5 has provided additional funds to supplement the Infant-Toddler Program at the rate of approximately $200,000 per year.

\r\nHow are these new rates comparable to similar programs?<\/strong>
\r\n
\r\nEach year C5 participates in a tuition and wage survey of 40 Bay Area Preschools conducted by an independent consulting firm, and we also gather tuition information from comparable Early Care and Education programs in San Francisco. We found that with C5\u2019s planned increases, our tuition rates for all age groups, Infants through Pre-K, for the 2019-2020 school year will remain competitive. We always plan a mid-year review of tuition to make any necessary adjustments and publish any changes at least 30 days in advance.

\r\n\u00a0<\/strong>Tuition Rates for September 1, 2019\u2014March 1, 2020
\r\n
\r\nInfants\u2013Toddlers, 6 weeks to 18 months old = $2,877 per month, a $137 increase<\/strong>
\r\n
\r\nToddlers 18 months to 36 months old = $2,477 per month, a $114 increase<\/strong>
\r\n
\r\n\u00a0Preschoolers 36 months old and up = $2,290 per month, an $88 increase<\/strong>
